Together with our client we develop optimization components of a future Capacity and Traffic Management System (CTMS) which ensures optimal utilisation of the rail network. CTMS is part of the DB InfraGo.

We are looking for you as working student (w/m/d) for DB Systel GmbH located in Berlin as soon as possible.

• The core of your task is the further development of an optimization system and its components in Python and C++
• You develop algorithms and interfaces, focusing primarily on graph algorithms and optimization techniques
• You will work closely with the development team, providing you with a wide range of insights and feedback on your work
• You support the refactoring of code with the aim of improving testability and maintainability

• You are studying for a master’s degree or are at the end of your bachelors degree in computer science or a comparable subject
• Experience in Software-Development (python and/or C++). Your code is sound in quality, maintainability and performance
• Team and customer environment speak English. A very good command of English is therefore needed. German language skills are not required
• You enjoy working in an agile and self-organized research & development environment and strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team characterize you
